SCB leads digital loan innovation with SCB Easy Top Up Loan to ease burdens for home loan borrowers, offering more money and same payment conditions


              In reaffirming its digital banking leadership, Siam Commercial Bank is taking another bold stride in expanding digital lending via mobile phones. Recently, the Bank launched its SCB Easy Top Up Loan service to ease the burdens of home loan borrowers by providing more money, while promoting financial discipline among borrowers. The new product offers a top-up multipurpose loan up to the amount already paid, while allowing borrowers to pay the same installments. Customers with credit records can apply to receive top-up loans in any amount up to the existing credit limit via the SCB Easy mobile banking application. The new service has been designed to offer a new experience directly to customers by enabling them to conveniently and safely obtain new loans without requiring them to apply at a branch and undergo reassessment of their collateral. It also features a special interest rate, easy approval, and quick approval advice when submitting all mandatory documents.  During the launch period, the Bank will also offer a special promotion of Central gift vouchers worth up to 4,000 baht. SCB expects to achieve more than 2 billion baht in SCB Easy Top Up Loans by year-end 2019.  





              Speaking about the new product, SCB Retail Lending Products Management Division First Executive Vice President Ms. Jamaree Ketrakool said that, “SCB is committed to continuously upgrading its digital platform to offer loans catering exactly to customer requirements and behaviors. The effort is in line with the SCB’s strategic move to enhance its technological capabilities and competitiveness to keep pace with customer demand in this new era to achieve the bank's ultimate goal of being Thailand’s Most Admired Bank. Most recently, SCB has developed an innovative lending service called “SCB Easy Top Up Loan” that allows existing customers to resume a full credit limit equivalent to the amount already paid. It is hoped that these new loans will promote financial discipline among customers, while adding access to funding for customers with credit records via the SCB Easy mobile banking application, which caters to customer requirements.  This concept focuses on convenience, speed, and security. Customers will obtain additional funds and pay the same installments, with no need for collateral reassessment. Existing credit records will allow easier and quicker approval.  With a maximum installment period of 30 years and a special interest rate, it is expected that SCB will be able to attract more than 4,000 customers for new SCB Easy Top Up Loans, accounting for about 2 billion baht by 2019.”


              SCB Digital Banking First Senior Vice President Mr. Tana Pothikamjorn said that, “Following the launch of SCB Easy Digital Lending earlier this year, the Bank has seen more than 722,000 requests through the SCB Easy mobile banking application, with more than 6.5 billion baht in loans already approved. The statistic reflects SCB’s understanding of customer behaviors and requirements in the digital era. Every SCB Easy feature is designed for everyday lifestyles and will be presented to customers at the exact moment they need it.  New features will be introduced to fit new digital lending trends in 2019 and include all customer requirements. Customers will enjoy financial access anytime and anywhere in line with the concept of banking anywhere. The new SCB Easy Top Up Loan is another key factor propelling SCB Easy toward becoming a true digital fulfillment platform.”
