SCB hands home appliances to poor families of army conscripts


            The 41st Military Circle recently held a home hand-over ceremony for Private Apinant Asarn, an army conscript, shift 2 of 2016, attached to the 41th Military Circle Company at Ban Nai Tung, Moo 5, Tha Sala Sub-district, Tha Sala District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. The project was initiated to relieve the hardship of poverty stricken families of army conscripts. Siam Commercial Bank jointly provided home appliances, such as gas stoves, rice cookers, beds, and blankets to show moral support and care for army conscripts and their families. The ceremony was presided over by Maj. Gen. Arkom Pongprom, Commander of the 41th Military Circle. Also in attendance were SCB First Executive Vice President and Head of CSR and the Internal Communications Function Ms. Araya Phuphanich; Mr. Kosol Muttaharach, SCB Senior Vice President, Nakhon Si Thammarat Area Office; representatives of state agencies; the Chairman of the Army Wives Club, 41th Military Circle Branch; and executives of the Provincial Administration Organization.

            Participants jointly handed date palms, eggs, and rice to 30 Thai Muslim families living in Ban Nai Tung, Moo 5, Tha Sala Sub-district, Tha Sala District, for the Ramadan period of the Islamic Hijri Calendar for 1436, which is the month for doing good deeds and purifying the spirit.
