SCB executives and staff pledge loyalty and commitment to Royal Volunteer Spirit Program (904 VorPorRor)
In recognition of the great kindness given by His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn to Thais from every walk of life and the royal wish for the nation’s stability and a better life for its people, 1,798 executives and staff of Siam Commercial Bank nationwide recently joined the Royal Volunteer Spirit Scheme (904 VorPorRor): We Do Good Deeds with Our Hearts as an expression of their pledge of loyalty and commitment to the Monarch’s intention to encourage all his subjects to do good deeds, have a volunteer spirit, sacrifice, unite, and contribute to the common interest and not for personal gain, which will lead to affection for and bonding to the four major institutions of the country: Nation, Religion, Monarchy, and People. To date, the number of SCB executives and staff participating in the program totals 2,499.
On this occasion, SCB executives and staff in Bangkok and its environs attended a ceremony chaired by Dr. Vichit Suraphongchai, Chairman of the SCB Board of Directors, to receive volunteer spirit caps and scarves graciously bestowed by HM King Maha Vajiralongkorn before his portrait at Mahisorn Hall, SCB Headquarters The caps and scarves, which will be handed out to other SCB volunteer staff working in provincial branches later on, serve as a reminder for all new SCB volunteer staff to bring to practice and pursue the Monarch’s wish to instill Thai people with a spirit for conducting public service activities for communities willingly and without personal benefit. They will be given opportunities to collaborate with state agencies to perform community work in various areas under the Royal Volunteer Spirit Scheme (904 VorPorRor) for the sake of good deeds for their society and nation.
