Siam Commercial Bank, the Crown Property Bureau, and partner agencies supported the Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, in providing public health services, eye surgery, and dentistry to people in provinces lacking specialist doctors under the “Royally Bestowed Doctors for Happy and Healthy People” Initiative at Satun Hospital and Satun Provincial Prison. Mr. Ampon Kittiampon, Privy Councilor and Vice Chairman of the “Royally Bestowed Doctors for Happy and Healthy People” Initiative, presided over the opening ceremony of the project. Ms. Aroonsri Chuntapichayanun, Manager of the Social Activities Division at Siam Commercial Bank, led volunteer employees from the head office to join the royally bestowed medical unit to provide care and convenience to patients who underwent eye surgery.

This time, there were a total of 1,120 participants in the project, divided into 116 eye surgery cases and 1,004 dentistry cases (602 dental patients at Satun Hospital and 402 patients at Satun Provincial Prison). On this occasion, the bank organized the “Thai Children Aspiring for Goodness” activity for 15 schools in Satun Province at Satun Hospital, with 70 students and 12 teachers, totaling 82 people, to enhance and instill good financial discipline under the topic “Saving Journey to Achieve Millions.” The children learned important skills such as how to divide the money they receive into proportions (10% savings) and save before spending, how to set goals and plan finances according to the SMART principle, how to record income and expenses continuously, and how to distinguish between necessary and unnecessary expenses. The bank also distributed the “Gaem Ling” accounting book and “Smart Thinking, Smart Saving” promotional materials to the children and teachers to disseminate in schools.
