SCBX Group by SCB, in Partnership with NSTDA and NRCT, Empowers Youth to Shine on 3 Global Science Stages

SCBX Group, by Siam Commercial Bank (SCB), remains committed to youth development and education promotion, particularly for young talents in the field of science and technology. In partnership with the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) and the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), a press conference was held to announce a joint initiative supporting Thai youth through the “Young Scientist Competition: YSC” project. This initiative enables them to showcase their potential at three prestigious international science and engineering competitions: Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair 2025 (Regeneron ISEF 2025), Genius Olympiad 2025, and the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva. For the fifth consecutive year, SCB has remained committed to providing opportunities and empowering Thai youth to compete on the global stage in science, technology, and innovation. By supporting their journey, SCB aims to prepare them as high-caliber professionals and a driving force for the nation’s future.

On this occasion, Mr. Worawut Suwakon, Chief People Officer of SCB, Prof. Dr. Sukit Limpijumnong, Director of NSTDA, and Ms. Sirinporn Diowtrakool, Research System Expert at the NRCT recently attended the press conference at the NSTDA-Yothi Building in Bangkok, where they congratulated the young participants on their achievements.

Now in its 27th year, the Young Scientist Competition (YSC) received impressive 2,429 project submissions from 6,442 students and 1,555 advisors across Thailand. From these entries, eight outstanding projects by a total of 18 talented students were selected to represent Thailand and compete in three prestigious international science and engineering competitions.

These young innovators not only serve as role models, inspiring the next generation, but also highlight the immense potential of Thai youth. Their achievements underscore the success of the YSC project, which has been actively supported by SCB to nurture and develop young talent in science and technology. By fostering high-caliber professionals, this initiative contributes to sustainable and stable national development.
