Siam Commercial Bank supports public health initiatives for eye and dental care in Phetchaburi Province through "Happy and Healthy People" initiative

Siam Commercial Bank, in partnership with the Crown Property Bureau, Ramathibodi Hospital’s Faculty of Medicine, and other agencies, has launched a “Happy and Healthy People” initiative. This initiative aims to provide public health services, specifically eye and dental surgeries, to residents of provinces lacking specialized doctors. The surgeries were  conducted at Phra Chom Klao Hospital in Phetchaburi Province.

The project’s opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Emeritus Dr. Kasem Wattanachai, a Privy Councilor and Chairman of the “Happy and Healthy People” initiative. Ms. Araya Phuphanich, First Executive Vice President of the CSR Function, and Ms. Annicha Damrongiammongkol, Phetchaburi Branch Manager at Siam Commercial Bank, were also present. They were joined by volunteer employees from the Bank’s Head Office and Samut Sakhon Area Office, who assisted patients undergoing eye and dental surgeries. The activity saw a total of 496 participants, with 255 undergoing eye surgery and 241 receiving dental treatment.

In addition, the Bank organized a “Thai Children Do Good” activity during this occasion. This activity, themed “Savings Journey to a Million”, aimed at inspiring youths to save and understand money management. This knowledge is crucial in establishing a strong financial foundation for their future. The activity saw participation from 113 students and 38 teachers, totaling 151 participants from 25 schools in Phetchaburi Province.

Those interested in contributing to the "Happy and Healthy People" project’s "One Eye, One Kindness" initiative can take part by scanning a QR code to make an e-donation through the mobile banking application of any bank. These donations support the efforts of volunteer doctors who deploy mobile units to provide comprehensive and equitable treatment to cataract patients, bringing back vision and happiness to their families. Every donation is eligible for a one-time tax deduction. Additionally, those who contribute 8,000 baht for one eye surgery can request a certificate by contacting 08 3811 1111.
