SCBX Group by SCB Partner with Department of Internal Trade to Support Thai Farmers in Coping with Oversupply

SCBX Group, through Siam Commercial Bank (SCB), strengthened its commitment to community well-being by partnering with the Department of Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce, to alleviate challenges faced by Thai farmers amid agricultural oversupply.

In this initiative, SCB provided dedicated space at its head office for farmers to directly sell more than four tons of premium-grade fruits, including durians and mangosteens. This effort created an effective link between producers and consumers, helping farmers secure fair pricing while promoting local produce.

The program gained overwhelming support from SCB employees, customers, and members of the public, with all products selling out rapidly. It demonstrated the power of cross-sector collaboration in driving grassroots economic impact.

The event was honored by the presence of Ms. Yanee Srimanee, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce, who visited the distribution area, and Ms. Wannarat Phanjan, Executive Vice President and Head of Operations at SCB, who welcomed guests and representatives.

SCBX Group remains committed to fostering inclusive, sustainable development through strategic partnerships that empower local communities and enhance national resilience.
