Siam Commercial Bank supports the direction and objectives of the SCB X Group in pursuing Operational Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, with a target to reduce operational emissions by 50% by 2027. In this regard, SCB contributes to the Group's operational net zero pathway by implementing initiatives aligned with the SCBX Group framework, including the adoption of clean energy, building energy efficiency improvements, the transition to electric vehicles, and employee engagement, within the scope of the Bank's operations.

In 2025, Siam Commercial Bank achieved a continued reduction in operational greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2), reflecting the effectiveness of the Bank's rigorous implementation of its internal greenhouse gas reduction plan.

Remark: The calculation of the Bank's Scope 2 emissions in 2025 is primarily based on the location-based approach. The market-based approach, including the procurement of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), is implemented at the parent company/group level for overall group-level target management. At the group level, the inclusion of market-based solutions would result in a 25% reduction in emissions compared with the base year. The Bank acknowledges the parent company's REC procurement policy and confirms that the environmental attributes from such RECs are not applied to offset the Bank's greenhouse gas emissions at the legal entity level in this calculation.
