The SCBX Group recently held an annual Kathin ceremony at Wat Uthokkhepsimaram, Tambon Watbote, Amphoe  Phanat Nikhom, Chonburi. Representing the SCBX Group, SCB Director Dr. Lackana Leelayouthayothin presided over the ceremony, joined by SCBX executives including Auto X Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Ms. Apiphan Charoenanusorn, Innovest X Chief Executive Officer Ms. Boontip Kritchaikul, SCBX Chief Talent Officer Ms. Patraporn Sirodom, SCB Senior Executive Vice President, Chief SME Banking Officer Ms. Pikun Srimahunt; SCB Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Integrated Channels Officer and Chief Retail and Business Banking Officer (Acting) Mr. Vitoon Pornsakulvanich; and other staff. 

To foster Buddhism and continue an important Buddhist tradition, this year the SCBX Kathin ceremony raised approximately 4.1 million baht in donations from executives, staff, customers, and the general public. The donations were presented to the temple for constructing a 12 x 30 meter two-story meditation building for monks, novices and laypeople, and to renovate the first school in Phanat Nikhom. On this occasion, the SCB X Group provided scholarships to Debsirin Chonburi School (Uthok Upatham), the Buddhist College, Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University Chonburi, and the Willpower Institute, Branch 99 at Wat Uthokkhepsimaram, which is an ancient temple built during the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) some 130 years ago.
