SCBX Group through SCB Joins the "Happy and Healthy Citizen by the Royal Medical Team" to Strengthen Public Health Security

 

SCBX Group, through Siam Commercial Bank (SCB), has joined the “Happy and Healthy Citizen by the Royal Medical Team” project to promote health security for communities across Thailand. The Group supports the Privy Purse Bureau, the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Banphaeo General Hospital (Public Organization), and the Faculty of Dentistry Chulalongkorn University in delivering specialized medical services to underserved provinces.

 

The initiative provides ophthalmology surgeries, dental care, and dermatology treatment to reduce waiting times and improve patients’ quality of life. SCB also mobilizes employee volunteers to assist patients and facilitate services. This marks the fifth consecutive year of participation since 2022. In 2026, the project will conduct 19 medical missions nationwide, with five already completed between January and April:

 


1. Yangsisurach Hospital, Maha Sarakham Banphaeo General Hospital medical team performed eye surgeries for 307 patients. The opening ceremony was presided over by Governor Chumpit Dejarath, with SCB CSR Project Manager Aroonsri Chuntapichayanun leading SCB volunteers.



2. Chao Phya Abhaibhubejhr Hospital and Prachinburi Provincial Prison Ramathibodi Hospital medical team provided eye surgeries (392 patients, 394 eyes), dental services (489 patients), and dermatology treatment (152 patients), totaling 1,033 beneficiaries. Privy Councillor Ampon Kittiampon presided over the opening ceremony. Mr. Saksit Pitipongsunthorn, SCB Senior Vice President in charge of Corporate Social Responsibility and Ms. Sureeporn Trakarnchansiri, SCB Prachinburi Branch Manager led SCB volunteers.

 

On this occasion, SCB also organized the “Thai Children Aspiring for Good” financial literacy program for 136 students from 18 schools to learn to allocate income into portions and save before spending, set financial goals, and plan personal and family finances.



3. Klong Prem Prachakon Development Project (Wat Samian Nari School, Bangkok) Chulalongkorn University Faculty of Dentistry offered oral health services including check-ups, scaling, fillings, and extractions for 292 patients, plus fluoride treatment for 240 students and children in neighboring communities. A total of 532 people received dental care. Privy Councillor Prof. Emeritus Dr. Kasem Watanachai presided over the opening ceremony. Mr. Saksit Pitipongsunthorn, SCB Senior Vice President in charge of Corporate Social Responsibility led SCB CSR volunteers to assist patients.



4. Crown Prince Hospital, Amphoe Pua, Nan Banphaeo General Hospital medical team performed eye surgeries for 305 patients. Governor Chainarong Wongyai presided over the opening ceremony, with SCB CSR Project Manager Aroonsri Chuntapichayanun leading SCB CSR volunteers to assist patients.



5. Sadao Hospital, Songkhla Banphaeo General Hospital medical team performed eye surgeries for 237 patients (239 eyes). Deputy Governor Romadon Hayeeaewae presided over the opening ceremony, with Mr. Saksit Pitipongsunthorn, SCB Senior Vice President in charge of Corporate Social Responsibility, leading SCB CSR volunteers to assist patients.
