SCBX Group by SCB supports the Phra Metta Somdejya Project honoring teachers receiving Kru Chao Fa Krom Luang Narathiwas Rajanagarindra Awards 2025



The Phra Metta Somdejya Project has partnered with the SCBX Group by Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) to organize a presentation ceremony for the 17thKru Chao Fa Krom Luang Narathiwas Rajanagarindra Awards” for the year 2025. This ceremony honors teachers from three agencies: The Department of Learning Encouragement (DLE), the Border Patrol Police Headquarters (BPP), and the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC).  Since its inception in 2009, the Kru Chao Fah Awards have honored teachers who make extraordinary sacrifices to serve in rural, remote, and high-risk areas. Each year, three teachers from each agency receive these prestigious awards, totaling nine recipients. Their dedication goes beyond teaching—they embody the mission of nurturing young minds and fostering good, talented individuals, reflecting the royal aspirations of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra and Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana.

 

The 17th award ceremony was held at the Chaiyapruek Room, Royal Park Rajapruek, Chiang Mai and was presided over by Mr. Boonthan Mahawan, Chairman of the Phra Metta Somdejya Project. Pins of honor were presented to all nine recipients of the Kru Chao Fa Award. On this occasion, Ms. Araya Phuphanich, advisor to the SCBX Group’s CSR Committee, and Mr. Saksit Pitipongsoonthorn, First Senior Vice President in charge of SCB’s CSR Function, supported the event with monetary prizes, Sufficiency Economy Fund rewards, and public relations materials promoting the Smart Thinking, Smart Savings project to instill financial discipline in primary school students.



For the 17th “Kru Chao Fa Krom Luang Narathiwas Rajanagarindra Awards” for the year 2025, Professor Vicharn Phanich, MD, Chairman of the Kru Chao Fa Project Committee served as the chairman of the judging panel. Teachers from three agencies who received the awards were:

The nine Kru Chao Fah Award teachers have shown unwavering dedication, teaching in remote and sensitive areas while uplifting underprivileged children and villagers. Their efforts extend beyond education, fostering sustainable community development. They truly deserve recognition as role models, embodying excellence and compassion in society.
