SCB supports the "Happy and Healthy Citizen by the Royal Medical Team" project to provide 21 sessions of public healthcare services in 2025
Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) is collaborating with the Crown Property Bureau, the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Banphaeo General Hospital, the Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University, and other organizations in supporting the "Happy and Healthy Citizen by the Royal Medical Team" project. With the support of volunteer doctors, this initiative offers eye surgeries and dental care to improve public health in remote areas with limited access to specialists. The project enhances quality of life, promotes sustainable well-being, and reduces healthcare inequality.
In 2025, the project aims to deliver 21 sessions to those in need, with three sessions completed so far, as follows:
2. Na Noi Hospital, Nan Province: Eye surgeries by a team of volunteer doctors from Banphaeo General Hospital. Mr. Niwat Ngamthura, Deputy Governor of Nan Province presided over the opening ceremony. On this occasion, Mr.Saksit Pitipongsunthorn, SCB Senior Vice President in charge of CSR projects, led SCB volunteers in caring for and assisting 341 patients receiving the service.
3. Chon Buri Hospital and Chon Buri Institution for Female Offenders: Eye surgeries and dental care by the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University. H.E. Mr. Kasem Watanachai, Privy Counsellor and chairman of the “Happy and Healthy Citizen by the Royal Medical Team Project” presided over the opening ceremony. On this occasion, Mr. Thawatchai Srithong, Governor of Chonburi Province and representatives of partner organizations showed their support for the medical team, nurses, and volunteers. Mr. Saksit Pitipongsunthorn, SCB Senior Vice President in charge of CSR projects, and Mr.Sarawuth Sornbuth, Vice President, Area Manager, Chonburi Area Office, led SCB volunteers in caring for and assisting 631 patients, including 326 who received eye surgeries and 1,073 who received dental care (330 at Chon Buri Hospital and 743 at Chon Buri Institution for Female Offenders).
