Siam Commercial Bank backs public health initiatives for eye and dental care in Chachoengsao Province through "Happy and Healthy People" initiative
Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) has taken the lead in promoting community health in Chachoengsao Province by partnering with the Crown Property Bureau, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, and other partner organizations. The bank facilitated public health services through volunteer doctors who performed eye and dental surgeries at Phutthasothon Hospital and Chachoengsao Central Prison.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Emeritus Dr. Kasem Wattanachai, Privy Councilor and Chairman of the "Happy and Healthy People" initiative. Mr. Saksit Pitipongsoonthorn, First Senior Vice President of the CSR Project Division, along with Ms. Phommanat Karysuwon, Assistant Vice President and Chachoengsao Branch Manager of SCB, led volunteer employees from both the head office and branches in providing support and assistance to patients. The initiative successfully treated 657 patients by performing 263 eye surgeries and 394 dental procedures.
In addition to healthcare support, the bank also hosted a "Thai Children Do Good" event at Phutthasothon Hospital to promote financial literacy. Through the "Savings Journey to a Million" initiative, the event educated youths in Chachoengsao Province about financial planning, saving, and managing income and expenses. The event attracted 73 young people and four teachers from five schools in the province.
