SCB Chairman of the Board Mr. Apisak Tantivorawong remarked that in the context of sustainable development, entrepreneurs play a pivotal role in driving the transition toward a green economy by adopting environmentally friendly production processes, promoting responsible consumption, and designing products and services with the entire life cycle in mind. It is inspiring to see that this year’s six award-winning entrepreneurs have embraced sustainability with a forward-thinking vision, prioritizing long-term value over short-term profits. Their approach underscores a profound understanding that sustainable businesses do more than simply survive—they create lasting economic, social, and environmental value in a balanced way. Regardless of industry, businesses that align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), conduct comprehensive impact assessments, and uphold good governance can strengthen their competitiveness while contributing to Thailand’s steady and sustainable economic growth for the future.
SCB Chief Executive Officer Mr. Kris Chantanotoke said that SCB remains steadfast in its commitment to empowering Thai entrepreneurs as they adapt and evolve under the guiding principle of "Live Sustainably." This approach serves as a crucial foundation for driving sustainability across all sectors. To support entrepreneurs in establishing green business practices, SCB has introduced the "Start to Survive" framework—providing a structured pathway for sustainable growth. This support extends to knowledge-building initiatives, raising awareness and understanding of sustainability through ongoing training programs by the SME Academy, as well as financial assistance through sustainable financing, helping businesses improve their environmental management in feasible ways. The Bai Po Business Awards by Sasin further reinforces SCB’s dedication to strengthening the SME sector. In collaboration with the Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration of Chulalongkorn University, the bank has consistently honored outstanding Thai entrepreneurs since 2007—recognizing those who have made a significant impact in their industries, embracing sustainability and responsible business practices toward customers, partners, society, and the environment.
