SCB Partners with the Thai Bankers’ Association CSR Club to Promote Financial Literacy among Children

Siam Commercial Bank (SCB), together with the CSR Club of the Thai Bankers’ Association, organized the “CSR Club Team Building” activity to promote financial knowledge and develop money‑management skills for 171 students in Grades 5–6 at Wat Khlong Kao School in Samut Prakan.

The event was led by Mr. Saksit Pitipongsoonthorn, First Senior Vice President, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at SCB, along with the bank’s CSR team. Mr. Suthat Porntheerapakorn from SCB Academy served as a guest speaker, delivering financial knowledge through the activity “SCB Mission: Saving Challenge.” Students learned about setting financial goals, money usage, saving habits, and simple bookkeeping through the “Monkey Cheek Savings Log.”

In addition, 60 executives and staff from 12 member banks of the Thai Bankers’ Association CSR Club set up interactive learning stations and provided financial‑fraud awareness activities relevant to current situations. Topics included cybersecurity awareness, income‑expense bingo, and investment ball‑toss games, engaging the children in learning how to recognize and respond to financial threats.

On this occasion, SCB also donated educational materials from the “Guardians of the Eco‑World” series to help instill environmental responsibility among the students. The bank further provided blankets and essential items for the school’s first aid room.
