On the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King's 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary, Siam Commercial Bank has bolstered its commitment to blood donation by funding the construction of an 8-bed mobile blood donation vehicle. This vehicle, equipped with essential supplies, stands as a royal tribute to His Majesty while serving as a vital resource for the Thai Red Cross Society's National Blood Center. Concurrently, the bank inaugurated the "SCB Blood Donation 2024" campaign, marking its 29th year of active participation. The bank also inaugurated the "SCB Blood Donation 2024" campaign, marking its 29th consecutive year of such efforts. In 2023 alone, the bank contributed 65 million cc of blood, benefiting over 488,736 patients nationwide. Mr. Kris Chantanotoke , CEO of Siam Commercial Bank, and Ms. Araya Phuphanich , First Executive Vice President of the CSR Function, alongside Emeritus Prof. Chaivej Nuchprayoon , M.D., Assistant Secretary General of the Thai Red Cross Society, presided over the campaign launch at Mahisorn Hall, Siam Commercial Bank Head Office.

Concurrently, an event was organized to facilitate blood donations from Siam Commercial Bank employees, customers, and members of the public, alongside substantial participation from employees of nearby organizations. As a gesture of gratitude, the first 450 individuals who contributed at Siam Commercial Bank were gifted a "Save the World" water bottle in appreciation. This blood donation initiative is slated to occur every three months throughout 2024, with upcoming dates set for May 13, August 13, and November 13. Furthermore, the Bank has initiated a campaign aimed at nurturing a culture of blood donation among its interns. These interns are encouraged to volunteer to assist in facilitating the donation process and to contribute by donating their blood. Additionally, the campaign extends an invitation to employees, customers, and the wider public to donate blood regularly every three months.

Despite ongoing efforts, many patients await life-saving transfusions. Each donation can potentially save up to three lives, emphasizing the critical need for ongoing participation. Regular blood donation not only serves as a charitable act but also promotes a healthy circulatory system, stimulating the production of bone marrow to produce new blood cells in donors, thus contributing to their well-being.
