What is SCB PAY LATER?

SCB PAY LATER is a service offering instalment plans that allow you to buy first and pay later with your credit line and pay back in instalments via the SCB EASY app. Interest rates depend on your loan conditions, which you can check from the app screen before making a transaction. Currently, SCB PAY LATER can be tied to an UP-Ngern-Yeum loan account, so you can also draw down from your credit line as a cash transfer to your savings account as well.

What’s good about SCB PAY LATER?

You can use your credit line for paying shopping bills for an instalment period of up to 12 months*.

*After 31 December 2023, the maximum instalment period is 6 months.

Where and when I can use SCB PAY LATER?

SCB PAY LATER is available at shops accepting QR code payments or bill payments via the SCB EASY app 24/7, except for instalments of loan repayments and payments for mutual funds, non-life insurance, and life insurance. 

What is the minimum amount I can use my credit line for instalments?

The minimum amount is 200 baht/transaction.

Can I cash out an amount using SCB PAY LATER?

As SCB PAY LATER can be tied to an UP-Ngern-Yeum loan account, you can cash out from your credit line as a cash transfer to your savings account as well. Just go to “My Accounts.” Select “UP-Ngern-Yeum” and make a “borrowing” transaction.

How long is an instalment period?

You can choose an instalment period of up to 12 months* as per the monthly instalment amount.

*After 31 December 2023, the maximum instalment period is 6 months.

I have paid some instalments. Can I pay up to settle all the outstanding amounts?

You can do so via the SCB EASY app. However, you cannot pay up to settle a particular transaction. 

What about interest rates?
  • Interest rates depend on the type of loan you selected.
  • When using UP coins from UP-Ngern-Yeum, you can enjoy 0% interest rate for a maximum of up to 50% of a borrowed amount* 
  • or as specified by SCB’s promotion conditions, which you can check on the screen before making a transaction.
Are there any fees?

No annual or front-end fees

SCB PAY LATER applicant qualifications

Depending on your selected loan

For UP-Ngern-Yeum clients

  • Thai nationals aged between 20 – 65 years.
  • Use the SCB EASY app.
  • Have an SCB savings or current account with normal account status tied to the SCB EASY app.
  • Have a home or office contact number.

Remarks: *Credit application and approval conditions are as specified by SCB.

I have other SCB personal loans. Can I apply for SCB Pay Later?

Yes.

I don’t have an UP-Ngern-Yeum credit line. Can I use other SCB credit lines for SCB Pay Later?

At the moment, SCB Pay Later is available only for instalments from UP-Ngern-Yeum loans. Other SCB loans will follow soon.

How to apply for UP-Ngern-Yeum via SCB Pay Later?

You can apply for an UP-Ngern-Yeum loan via the SCB EASY app and wait for an instant approval result. Then, you can make an SCB Pay Later transaction and draw down an amount from the loan for your instalment plan.     

How can I follow up on my loan application result?

Via the SCB EASY app.

If my application is rejected, can I apply again?

You can apply again after 30 days from the date of your previous application result.

Can I apply for direct debit later?

You can apply for direct debit right at the application process.
