Compulsory Motor Insurance Policy

Compulsory Motor Insurance Policy covers anyone, either driver, passenger or third party, against death, bodily injury and damage to health (excluding property damage)

 

 

  • Insured by The Deves Insurance Public Company Limited.

  • SCB is only an authorized broker.

  • Insurable guideline refer to Underwriting procedures of The Deves Insurance Public Company Limited.

  • Buyers must understand the details of coverage and conditions before deciding to insure.

Qualification and Document Required

1.  Types of vehicle that can be insured:

  • Code 110 – Private passenger car with up to 7 seats (saloon)
  • Code 120 -  7-seater to 15-seater private passenger car
  • Code 140 -  Motor truck with gross weight of up to 3 tonnes   

                                                         

2.  Age of vehicle  – no restriction on the age of the vehicle to be insured    

                                          

Exceptions

  • This policy does not cover: overturned vehicle accidents where no other party is involved; accidents arising from collision with anything other than a road vehicle, e.g. houses, electricity poles, kerbs, tree branches or other living things such as people, dogs, elephants, horses, cattle, etc.
